Founded in 1864 by Robert Young as a general store. In 1903 the business was continued by Robert's son Peter Young and his grandson, Walter Young and named P & W Grocery Company. By 1947 Walter's son, Lawrence Young took over the business and named it Young's Feed and Seed Company. It changed into a retail and wholesale garden and turf distribution center. In 1970 Lawrence Young's son, Lawrence Young, Jr. took over the business and it evolved into a Honda and Suzuki motor cycle d ealership and a warehousing company. In 1988 the motor cycle dealership closed and Young's became
a leasing, management, and warehousing company. In order to combat rising energy costs, Young's has established a division, Energy Sources, dedicated to sourcing, supplying, and servicing alternative sources of energy.
